    The earlier the better, usually within the second trimester a doula is hired, interview a couple of doulas to determine who is the best fit for you and your family. 

    Doulas support ALL births! at home, birthing center, hospital, medicated, non-medicated and scheduled/ unscheduled cesarean. Doulas provide support and ensure the birthing person and partner are well informed of options that are available to them. 

    It is the doulas role to support both birthing person and partner. A doula does not take the place of your partner, but assists your partner while supporting you. 

    As your doula, I will support whatever choice you make regarding medication. Medication does NOT equal failure, even for the person who desires a non-medicated birth prior to labor and then changes their mind.
